Our Story
Vedavidya Gurukulam was founded in 1998 by the visionary saint Swami Vedananda Ji, with a sacred mission to revive the ancient Gurukul system of education in modern times. What began as a humble institution with just 50 students has today grown into one of the most respected educational institutions in Uttar Pradesh.
Our Gurukulam is not merely a school; it is a Tapobhumi – a sacred ground where knowledge is pursued with devotion and discipline. Here, education transcends the boundaries of textbooks to encompass the holistic development of body, mind, and spirit.
The institution is based on the ancient concept of Guru-Shishya Parampara (teacher-student tradition), where students not only learn academic subjects but also imbibe values of truth (Satya), righteousness (Dharma), peace (Shanti), love (Prem), and non-violence (Ahimsa).
Our Philosophy
Drawing inspiration from the Upanishadic teaching "Tamaso Ma Jyotirgamaya" (Lead me from darkness to light), we believe that true education illuminates the inner being and awakens the dormant potential within each student.
Our curriculum uniquely integrates:
- CBSE academic curriculum with emphasis on conceptual understanding
- Sanskrit and Vedic studies for cultural grounding
- Yoga and meditation for physical and mental well-being
- Environmental awareness and sustainable living practices
- Community service and social responsibility
